About

I am a semi-professional photographer based in Cambridgeshire and the Peak District. Born in Derbyshire, and growing up in the Peak District, I’ve always been enamored with the outdoors. My curiosity for nature and wildlife drew me into higher education, which to this day has me learning more and more about the world around us (see my Bioacoustic Research page). I started this journey to photograph wildlife, but over time, as I’ve endured through sitting on the peaks of the Cairngorms, trudged through the prehistoric looking Bialoweiza forest in Poland, or weathered the Scottish west coast, where I spent most of my childhood holidays, I’ve grown to appreciate landscapes and environments as well.

I primarily use a Canon 5D Mark IV camera, with a Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART and soft-gradient, 6-stop, and 10-stop filters. I also use an adapted SMC Pentax-M f/1.7 50mm lens, with a Hoya Pro ND 1000/10 stop filter.
